Primary Responsibilities Include:


  • Establishes therapeutic relationshipswith patients thatsupport the treatment plan.
  • Provides individual patient support through group monitoring. Actively participates in the maintenance of a structured and safe milieu and follows all policies and procedures related to patient/milieu safety.
  • Attends required group supervision with supervisor.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team primary to plan and coordinate treatment based on patients' needs; also utilizes the clinical record as a source of information.
  • Implements patients' treatment plan.
  • Reports changes in patient status to the Site Director and/or therapist and implements modifications in the treatment plan.
  • Monitors and records patients' progress with respect to individualized treatment goals.
  • Recognizes the precursors of potential crisis and unsafe patient behavior and intervenes to deescalate patients utilizing the least restrictive and therapeutic means of intervention.
  • Completes all required documentation according to policies and procedures and ensures that daily clinical notes document the patients' progress in meeting their treatment goals
  • Promotes exceptional customer service throughout the program.
  • Facilitates active patient participation in the treatment process.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or Associates degree or equivalent in Human Services, Masters is preferred
  • Licensed, or license eligible
  • Experience providing mental health, eating disorders and/or substance abuse treatment services is preferred
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; behavioral therapy methods; the assessment and treatment of behavioral disorders; and familiarity with the principles of 12step recovery
  • Develops knowledge of eating disorders, chemical dependency and other relevant issues and demonstrates competency in providing and implementing resident care.
  • Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics
  • Skilled in communicating ideas and instructions, verbally and in writing, clearly and concisely

Physical Demands

  • Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk, climb stairs and drive possibly for extended periods.
  • Must possess the ability to provide physical restraint to the residents
  • Must have visual, hearing and learning capabilities necessary to perform the essential functions described above
