Description
As the Payment Ops Specialist II, you are responsible for monitoring accounts payables and receivables for the Operations team.
You will also review payment requests to ensure they comply with policies and procedures, and you will track vendor payments and review their status to identify any issues that may have occurred.
Primary responsibilities include
- Review payment requests to ensure that they comply with internal policies and procedures.
- Track payments to vendors and review payment status to identify any issues that may have occurred during processing.
- Prepare reports on accounts payable activity such as delinquencies and exceptions.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledgers with bank statements or journals of the company's financial institution.
- Acts as an informal resource for payment specialists with less experience.
- Process checks, money orders, credit card payments, wire transfers, and any other forms of payment.
- Call Center support for payment processing and inquiries.
- Payment exception processing and investigations.
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
- 5+ years experience in Payment Operations processing
- 5+ years customer advisor experience
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload while working under tight deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy
- Strong understanding of Payment Security Policies
- Ability to multitask working independently and collaborate with teams
- Ability to influence across varying levels and organizations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to resolve straight forward to moderately complex problems with mínimal guidance
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal/written communications skills
Hours & Work Schedule
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: Hours varies between 8:30am to 7:30pm, Monday to Friday
Hourly Rate
$22.70 per hour
