Our environmental technicians

  • organize waste disposal using state-of-the-art technologies.
  • process and handle various materials.
  • measure physical quantities necessary for environmentally friendly disposal.
  • perform microbiological and analytical tasks.
  • operate lifting equipment and transport facilities.
  • measure, control, regulate and maintain machines.
  • take samples of waste.
  • consider relevant legal regulations, technical rules and safety regulations.
The training
  • lasts three years.
  • takes place at the Osnabrücker ServiceBetrieb and the waste management center of the city of Osnabrück.
  • is also accompanied by theory. You will attend block classes at the vocational school in Oldenburg and participate in additional courses as part of your inter-company training.
  • covers topics such as: materials and work substances, handling chemicals and hazardous substances, measuring, controlling and regulating, documenting and presenting work processes and results.
