Responsible for the day-to day receipt and transfer of materials and equipment in and out of the warehouse. Focuses on team completion of assignments and routines. Manages the daily activity and workload of the shipping and receiving clerks.

Essential Functions

The Shipping and Receiving Lead reports to the Plant Manager and must be able to organize orders and maintain good housekeeping in the shipping area.

The employee will also be asked to help with the movement of material within the plant. The individual must have a general knowledge of logistics and be able to ensure safe material travel.

Responsibilities
1) Must organize orders required for shipment

2) Must be able to organize the area to help future shipments

3) Maintain and return deposit pallets, boxes, and reels

4) Assist in maintaining the receiving area's cleanliness and organization

5) Assist in returning material to the stockroom

6) Assist in pulling required material for the plant

7) Assist in the movement of material throughout the plant

8) Scrap (departmental and bleed); collect and document scrap material

Qualifications
1) High school diploma or equivalent

2) Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

3) Ability to work over-time as the demand requires

4) General knowledge of logístical ideals

5) Ability to maintain inventory

6) Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds on multiple occasions per day

Desired Qualifications:

The Shipping and Receiving Lead must have a general knowledge of inventory practices.

This individual must be able to put together shipments for delivery in a safe and organized fashion with the intent of delivering materials to our customers both undamaged and on time.

Shipping Lead will also be asked to assist with the stockroom and various duties in and around the plant to generally help the flow of the various goals that the company must accomplish.

Shipping and Receiving Lead position is physical and will require the employee to use proper lifting techniques to maintain safety.

Previous experience in an ISO9001 facility is a plus
