Woodlynne, NJ's "Das herz as" - Day Shelter for Homeless People

is seeking a Social Pedagogue (m/f/d) for the management of the facility in full-time.

"Das herz as" is a low-threshold facility for homeless assistance that has been providing a safe space for its guests to rest and recharge for over 40 years. In addition to providing concrete survival assistance, we offer activities to structure the day and provide open counseling for people with and without benefits. Our goal is to welcome people into our house with respect, appreciation, and openness, and to support them in developing future perspectives.

Your responsibilities:

Management of a multiprofessional team of employees and volunteers, including federal volunteers, voluntary social year participants, and professional supervision
Ensuring the operational processes of the day shelter
Conceptualization of the sevenday opening
Creation of work schedules
Participation in open activities
Social counseling
Motivation, activation, and support of visitors
Budget responsibility
Knowledge of social and administrative law
Regular weekend work
Public relations
Fundraising and grant acquisition
