Position Overview:
Dental Back Office Manager/Treatment Coordinator
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Dental Back Office Manager/Treatment Coordinator who is highly organized and modern.
This role will encompass both back-office responsibilities, including chairside assistance for our Spear-trained doctors, and front-office tasks such as treatment plan presentations and administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision: Overseeing the dental assistants and other backoffice staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Workflow Management: Ensuring smooth operations in the back office, including patient flow, room turnover, and efficient use of resources.
- Clinical Support: Providing support to dental assistants and hygienists during procedures, ensuring they have the necessary supplies, equipment, and assistance.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels of dental supplies and equipment, ordering supplies as needed, and maintaining accurate records of inventory.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinating maintenance and repair of dental equipment, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and meets regulatory standards.

Infection Control:
Overseeing sterilization procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Patient Care Coordination: Assisting with patient intake, including obtaining medical histories, taking Xrays, and preparing patients for treatment. Ensuring patients are comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
- Chairside Assisting: Proficiently assist in chairside procedures, including Invisalign scans and patient education/treatment presentations, as well as indirect cosmetic restorations like veneers, inlays, and onlays.
- Patient Education: Providing patient education on oral hygiene, treatment options, and posttreatment care instructions, to promote optimal oral health outcomes.
- Compliance and Regulations: Staying informed about state and federal regulations governing dental practice, ensuring the practice remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Continuing Education: Keeping abreast of developments in dental technology, procedures, and regulations through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other members of the dental team, including dentists, hygienists, receptionists, and other staff, to ensure coordinated patient care and efficient practice operations.
- Emergency Preparedness: Developing and implementing protocols for handling dental emergencies, ensuring staff are trained to respond effectively to emergencies such as allergic reactions or medical crises.
- Fulfill any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Holds an active DA or RDA license, preferred for assisting doctors and presenting cases.
- Has extensive digital experience in CEREC designing and iTero/Medit scanning.
- Is highly organized and possess strong leadership qualities.
- Brings extensive experience in treatment plan presentations, particularly for significant cases such as veneers, laser whitening, Invisalign, inlays, and onlays.
- Exudes a bubbly personality with exceptional customer service skills, excelling in both inperson and phone interactions.
