ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Develop and validate new and improved Paste inks that meet the future goals and objectives of the business in packaging and graphics.
  • Perform the required ink making lab work to support lab produced samples for manufacturing.
  • Test, analyze, and determine root causes to resolve product performance customer issues and implement product and process improvements to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Use available information technology, project management systems and design processes, to manage, track, and efficiently execute and fulfil Paste projects to the required performance, quality, and safety standards.
  • Provide accurate, detailed, and timely technical progress reports, supporting data, and technical presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across supply chain, procurement, manufacturing operations, QC, legal, regulatory, EHS, product management, sales, and technical service to ensure high quality, safe, and efficient commercialization of new and improved products.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree in a sciencebased field, such as chemistry or graphic arts.
  • 57 years of lab experience in developing inks for packaging and graphic arts, preferably with a track record of successful new product commercialization.
  • Preferably experience with Energy Curable ink chemistry and or pigment dispersion chemistry.
  • Ability to demonstrate successful collaboration with chemists and technicians in a laboratory inperson team environment.
  • Familiarity with weighing materials in a lab scale environment.
  • Preferred Color experience with matching and/or quality control knowledge.
  • Knowledge of ink making equipment is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, SAP, Project Managed Systems.
