Senior Program Manager, Housing Ventures - Brooklyn, United States - CAMBA

    Default job background
    Description
Who We Are: CAMBA is a community of staff, volunteers, clients, donors, neighbors and partners who work together to build an inclusive New York City. CAMBA serves more than 65,000 individuals and families each year, citywide, including almost 13,000 youth. Our 180+ programs in over 100 locations improve the lives of a diverse cross section of New Yorkers. From homelessness prevention in Staten Island to supportive housing in the Bronx; from employment training in Manhattan to after school programs and college access in Brooklyn; from family shelter and support in Queens to increasing affordable housing across the city, CAMBA provides holistic services to help struggling New Yorkers stabilize their lives and become self-sufficient.

Since 1991, CAMBA has been addressing the City's housing crisis and today this portfolio includes permanent affordable and supportive housing, homelessness prevention, housing relocation, emergency and transitional housing. In response to a pressing need for permanent, stable and affordable housing for New York City residents, CAMBA created an affiliated non-profit affordable housing development corporation in 2005 called CAMBA Housing Ventures, Inc.(CHV). CHV envisions diverse, thriving communities where affordable housing plays a transformative role in the success of low-income individuals and families. CHV's mission is to elevate the definition of affordable and supportive housing by creating and preserving sustainable, high-quality, and energy-efficient developments that provide residents with a healthy, stabilizing, and beautiful home. We are committed to creating an equitable and inclusive New York City by empowering communities with resources and opportunities to flourish. CHV's portfolio of completed or in progress developments are located throughout New York City, including work-out acquisition, new construction, rehabilitation and preservation projects.
