- Screen potential study participants to determine eligibility and possible study drug compliance issues.
- Collect, record, and analyze clinical trial participants' study drug compliance as specified in the study protocol.
- Administer injectable study drug to clinical trial participants.
- Provide individual education and counseling to clinical trial participants regarding study drug administration, side effects and compliance as specified in the study protocol.
- Oversee the regulatory functions of the clinical trial and implementation process.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or health related field.
- RN license in the State of Louisiana.
- At least two (2) years of experience in nursing.
- Ability to effectively work with clients in a non-judgmental approach and to build rapport and trust.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive computer and software utilization skills.

Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Clinical Trial Inpatient Unit.
The Research Nurse will provide clinical oversight, education, and direct intervention to clients in specified clinical trial studies. The Research Nurse will serve as a coordinator to organize and monitor the provision of research procedures with scientists and physicians to ensure the accurate and timely collection of research subject/volunteer data.
