    Description

    **Nurse Practitioner - OB/GYN Position at Woman's Hospital**

    The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing appropriate access to care for new and follow-up OB and GYN patients at the Health Center for OB/GYN LSU Clinic.

    Requirements:

    • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
    • Requires Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) license
    • Prescriptive authority in Louisiana required, or application process initiation within business days of hire
    • ACOG standards for OB and GYN knowledge
    • Prefer minimum three years of relevant adult nurse practitioner experience, particularly in a specialty clinic

    Responsibilities of Nurse Practitioner include, but not limited to:

    • Demonstrates independence, competency, and accuracy in all tasks, directly and indirectly related to patient care. Consistently and competently delivers ongoing healthcare services following established standards and policies. Collaborates with Medical Director and healthcare providers. Plans, implements, evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as needed. Manages healthcare conditions effectively.
    • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of healthcare principles and practices through literature, seminars, memberships, and licensing. Stays informed about technology and procedures in the specialty area.
    • Generates and preserves accurate patient care records, legal documents, and clinic reports compliant with regulatory agencies' requirements. Develops and updates clinic policies and procedures.
    • Collects information systematically from all sources for individualized care plans. Utilizes referral processes and multidisciplinary resources for patients' needs.
    • Engages in research projects, reviews nursing research, and communicates legal components of practice. Adheres to accrediting agencies' regulations and standards.
    • Collaborates with the Director and RN Clinic Manager to set annual goals and timelines. Adheres to hospital and departmental policies.
    • Demonstrates problem-solving skills, improves technical and critical thinking, evaluates department operations, and ensures compliance with quality standards.

    Hours

    Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

    Pay
