Company Overview

Responsibilities:

Obtain samples from production areas and conduct general food microbiology and environmental.
Assist in processing samples from receipt through testing, including all associated documentation and recordkeeping including data entry.
Interpret and record results for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Assist to perform various lab tasks, including sample preparation, handling, or dilution.
Assist with nonroutine physical analysis tasks, experiments, and product developmentrelated support as needed.
Communicate testing results with the quality department or other departments as needed.
Adhere to and models good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good laboratory practices (GLP) at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
Other with other duties as required by the supervisor.
Able to work the 2nd shift, from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS degree in food science, chemistry, biological science, or related field is required.
12 years of experience in food analysis, laboratory, and basic knowledge of microbiology.
Prior QA/QC experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
Proficient in MS Office; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Must be capable of demonstrating physical demands of a typical laboratory.
Good listening and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Must be comfortable and able to work with all types of ingredients related to tofu.
