    There will be ample opportunities to be promoted to a senior role based on your performance. You will also be working with world-class researchers in both academia and industry on Bioengineering, Drug Discovery, Oncology, and Neuroscience projects across the nation and beyond.

    What You Will Be Doing:

    As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be part of the data analytics team, focusing on the analysis of 3D fluorescence microscopy images of biological tissues. You will support our internal Contract Research team and collaborate with a global customer base of world-class scientists in bioengineering, neuroscience, and related fields to help them quantify and present their results.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of image processing algorithms for 3D fluorescence microscopy images.
    • Optimize and maintain components of the image analysis pipeline (SmartAnalytics).
    • Run and troubleshoot analyses for Contract Research data to ensure timely and high-quality completion of projects.
    • Juggle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
    • Communicate effectively with customers and other teams at LCT to ensure smooth project execution.

    Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, biostatistics, electrical engineering, bioengineering, computational biology, or related area) or equivalent experience.
    • Some experience with image processing for biological/biomedical applications.
    • Proficiency in Python for data science and image processing (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-image, OpenCV, pandas).
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize code for speed and efficiency.
    • Strong interest in working in a fast-growing life sciences startup environment.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams.

    Preferred but Not Required:

    • Familiarity with brain structures and immunohistochemistry.
    • Familiarity with best practices for software development (version control, file management, organization).
