    Description
    Primary Care Staff Physician Position at VA

    Primary Care Staff Physician Position at VA Portland Health Care System

    This position offers the opportunity to provide primary care to a defined panel of primary care patients at the VA. As a Primary Care Staff Physician, you will work as part of a patient aligned care team (PACT) alongside healthcare professionals such as a nurse care manager, clinical associate, social worker, dietician, clinical pharmacist, and behavioral health clinician.


    Qualifications

    • Degree of doctor of medicine or equivalent in medicine or osteopathic medicine
    • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the US
    • Residency training in an accredited core specialty program

    Additional Requirements

    • More than 3 years experience in Primary Care
    • Proficiency in women's healthcare, chronic disease management, and geriatrics
    • Experience managing a patient panel and population

    Duties

    • Providing primary care to patients using face-to-face, telephone, and video visits
    • Contributing to quality care standards and patient satisfaction
    • Operating independently with minimal oversight
    • Practicing in alignment with professional standards and core values
