**Description**
The Regional EHS Manager will direct the implementation of a comprehensive EHS management system for designated warehouse locations within respective the Retail region. The position provides leadership and technical expertise to obtain company-wide excellence in EHS management and ensures compliance with EHS policies and applicable regulations through partnership with local management.
***This position can be located in Groveport, OH , Bensalem, PA, or Grand Rapids, MI***
***Responsibilities:***
Execution of the Retail region EHS agenda. Attend region meetings to educate and drive awareness of EHS performance, issues, and initiatives. Provide support to continuously improve EHS metrics.
Maintain knowledge of all applicable corporate, local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. Develop and implement programs and procedures to ensure compliance. Keep senior leadership and EHS Director informed of new and developing regulations. Serve as regional point of contact for local, state and federal regulatory agencies in area of responsibility.
Develop training programs, safety procedures, and certifications for maintenance teams throughout the Retail region. Also, the candidate must have an understanding of all required preventative maintenance (PM) programs and how to maintain those programs.
Lead EHS audit process for assigned locations within the Retail region. Assist operations in addressing audit recommendations.
Lead or participate in accident investigations for particularly complex or high hazard incidents. Work closely with regional and branch leadership to provide root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans. Provide necessary training to warehouse and operations management for conducting thorough investigations and root cause analysis.
Track, monitor, and report out on EHS metrics and KPIs. Partner with branch and region leadership to implement goals and objectives to improve EHS performance. Effectively communicate with leadership to drive alignment on EHS objectives.
Support EHS capability building and talent development within the respective regions.
Provide guidance and leadership on EHS issues to regional leadership for acquisitions and new business development.
Participate in the development and implementation of corporate-wide EHS programs and practices that diminish hazards and create a safe work environment. Develop and assist in implementing regional training initiatives around new EHS programs and practices.
Investigate and implement continuous improvement of current EHS programs and processes to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
***Requirements:***
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
Experience with maintenance safety training and PM programs is required.
Proficient in MS Office products
High organizational and Information management skills
Ability to work in teams of an extended enterprise
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT Hazardous Materials regulations required
Sustainability experience (carbon reduction, zero landfill) is preferred
Ability to travel up to 50% for conducting EHS audits and training at warehouse locations within the region
