SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:


Specific skills include:

  • Experience with DoD governance forums, meeting management and execution, and senior leader stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of the organization and functions of OSD, the Joint Staff, the Military Departments, and the Defense Agencies and Field Activities.
  • Extensive research experience including identification of authoritative sources, data gathering, analysis, and presentation of findings, both verbally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with strategy formulation, execution, and planning of DoD resources.
  • Ability to logically present information and develop official written documents (memos, papers, strategies, etc.) in accordance with the DoD Manual for Written Correspondence.
  • Demonstrated interest in examining complex business problems and offering innovative solutions.
  • Expertise in decision support, metric development and comparison, and other databased capabilities for use in the effective management of a complex organization with multiple lines of functional activities.
  • Capturing, coordinating, and disseminating agendas, readahead materials, and meeting minutes in support of DoD governance forums.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus at least 8 years' experience providing services to senior general/flag officer ranks and/or SES levels within the DoD. Master's degree preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Active Top Secret / SCI clearance required at date of hire.
  • Ability to provide onsite support in the Mark Center, Monday through Friday, during core business hours of 8am4pm.
  • Pentagon experience at the OSD, Joint Staff, or Service level.
  • Professionalism, tact, and experience working with senior DoD leadership
