Responsibilities:


As a
_Billing and Collections Specialist_
, you will complete our award-winning, paid training to learn the skills required to be a successful member of our administrative team.

You will use
teamwork along with
self-management to build relationships with our customers through a
customer-focused lens and be a key point of contact for both current and potential customers.

You will

  • Handle special billing and collection calls, assisting with accounts payable/receivable processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries related to invoicing, purchase orders, payment portals, and other billingrelated matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and account information.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve customer issues and ensure timely payment processing.
  • Perform outbound calls to customers to follow up on services received and regarding outstanding customer account balances.

Other duties may include...

  • Utilizing strong listening skills and probing questions to identify customer concerns and evaluate their needs.
  • Communicate empathetically with customers, building trust and handling objections within a conversational call flow.
  • Close pest control sales via telephone and schedule the initial service.

Qualifications:

As a _Billing and Collections Specialist_
at Connecticut Pest Elimination
, you must possess the following skills/requirements**:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to empathize with customers and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
  • Previous experience in billing, collections, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in navigating payment portals and using billing software is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in a related field is a bonus.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • At least 2 years of proven customer service experience

What will my work environment be like?

  • Must be comfortable sitting at a desk and working with a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
