    Your Role

    We are hiring a highly skilled and experienced Utilities Engineer to join our team. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of utility systems. This role demands strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering sustainable and reliable utility solutions.
    • Support in managing utility-related projects from inception to completion. Develop project plans, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Utility systems include RO and WFI water, process alcohol, and process gases.
    • Responsibilities include creating/reviewing design specifications, preparing/reviewing bid packages, managing detailed design review, managing vendor interactions and factory testing, and implementing equipment for the project.
    • Oversee and execute the design, procurement, commissioning, and qualification of utility systems, including IQ/OQ/PQ activities.
    • Review and approve validation protocols and reports to ensure compliance.
    • The main software systems used by the disciplines are as follows: Utilities = DeltaV, Factory Talk, SCADA, EBM.
    • Ensure all utility systems are designed, operated, and maintained in compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines, such as FDA, GMP, EMA, and other industry standards.
    • Develop and execute detailed plans, specifications, and layouts for utility systems.
    • Conduct risk assessments for utility systems and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize operational and safety risks. Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and integrity of the systems.
    • Lead troubleshooting efforts for utilities-related issues and identify root causes. Implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence and ensure continuous improvement.
    • Maintain accurate documentation for all utility-related activities.
    • Additional duties may be assigned from time to time.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
    • 10+ years of Utilities Engineering experience in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, medical device, and/or biotech industries.
    • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical utility systems. Demonstrated experience in the commission and qualification of utility systems.
    • Advanced understanding of regulatory requirements, cGMP guidelines, and industry standards applicable to pharmaceutical utilities.
    • Proficient in risk assessment, root cause analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • A proactive and results-driven attitude, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

    Estimated Annual Salary (dependent on experience) $105,000 - $160,000
