JOB OVERVIEW


Shipping and Receiving personnel at a Genesis dealership are responsible for managing the flow of parts, accessories, and other materials within the dealership.

They play a crucial role in ensuring that the right parts are received, stored, and distributed efficiently to meet the needs of the service department, retail customers, and other dealership operations.

This role involves inventory management, shipping, receiving, and maintaining accurate records.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving Materials: Receive deliveries of automotive parts, accessories, and supplies from suppliers and manufacturers. Check shipments for accuracy and inspect items for damage or defects.

Inventory Management: Organize and maintain the inventory of parts and accessories. This includes labeling, shelving, and tracking inventory levels to ensure items are readily accessible when needed.

Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on incoming parts and materials to ensure they meet dealership standards. Report any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate department.

Order Verification: Verify that received parts and materials match purchase orders and invoices. Ensure accurate quantities and pricing.

Parts Distribution: Distribute parts and accessories to the service department, retail customers, and other dealership departments as needed. Prepare and package parts for shipping or customer pickup.

Shipping: Pack and ship parts and accessories to customers or dealerships. Ensure that items are properly labeled and packaged for safe transport.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Update inventory management systems and databases with the latest information.

Returns and Exchanges: Handle returns and exchanges of parts and materials in accordance with dealership policies. Inspect returned items for quality and condition.

Inventory Audits: Conduct regular inventory audits to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies. Report any variances and assist in resolving issues.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and dealership policies when handling hazardous materials or operating equipment, such as forklifts. Ensure the safe storage and disposal of materials.


QUALIFICATIONS
