    Summary



    This is an open continuous vacancy announcement. Applicants will be referred periodically throughout the announcement period.     The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April - June

    Haleakala National Park: Kula HI

    Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park: Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP CA

    Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area: Coulee Dam, Wilbur, Davenport and Kettle Falls, WA

    Lassen Volcanic NP: Manzanita Lake CA, Mineral CA

    Lava Beds NP: Tulelake, CA

    Lewis and Clark National NHP: Astoria OR

    Manzanar NRA: Independance CA

    Mount Rainier National Park: Longmire, Packwood, WA

    North Cascades National Park: Marblemount, Stehekin, WA

    Olympic National Park: Port Angeles, Clearwater, Hoodsport, Amanda Park, Forks, Clallam Bay, WA

    Whiskeytown National Recreation Area: Whiskeytown CA

    Whitman Mission NHS: Walla Walla, WA

    Yosemite National Park: Yosemite, CA

    The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Utilize a variety of materials, tools, and equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of structures and grounds.
    • Perform minor plumbing repairs of limited difficulty such as tightening or replacing in-kind fittings and fixtures.
    • Perform minor carpentry repairs of limited difficulty to buildings and quarters. Construct, install, repair and replace such items as doors, shelves, supply racks, hardware, frame structures, windows, trim and cabinets.
    • Perform routine maintenance at different sites and visitor facilities, to include cleaning restrooms, and making minor repairs as needed.
    • Receive, unload and process incoming shipments according to established procedures, and report discrepancies and damage to others responsible for such items.
    • May perform other duties such as painting equipment, masonry work, roofing, welding or assisting higher grade worker with maintenance of utility systems in the facility.
    • Operate a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites.
