POSITION:Delivery Person - Grade 3
LOCATION:
Plant Operations - Normal duties will require travel within Nashua city limits, in addition to surrounding communities.
REPORTS TO:
Director of Plant Operations or Plant Operations Supervisor
WORK YEAR:
Year Round: 7:00 PM to 3:00 PM (Monday through Friday)
STARTING:
ASAP
SALARY RANGE:
$24.10/hr after 90 day probationary period.
(during probationary period, the wage rate will be 5% less)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in materials shipping and receiving is preferred but not required. Ability to relate well verbally and in writing to school district staff, students and the public. Ability to operate a fork lift, pallet jacks and light trucks. A valid New Hampshire Driver's License.
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties including the ability to walk, bend and stand for long periods of time and in all kinds of weather; climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, lift and carry objects weighing up to one hundred (100) pounds, with assistance.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as duties dictate. A high school graduate degree, or equivalent.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive, stock and distribute supplies, equipment, mail and other items to all district school facilities, city hall, post office(s) and other locations required by school-related business.
Follow all safety rules & regulations, industry-standard practices and federal/state/city/school district policies as outlined in NSD Custodial Handbook or provided in training and orientation.
Maintain assigned spaces and equipment in a secure, neat and orderly condition. As assigned, assist with maintaining an accurate inventory of all supplies and materials. Provide custodial services for Plant Operations buildings. Work with trades and grounds staffs when work-load permits, as assigned by Plant Operations Supervisors. Complete all required paperwork work in a timely fashion. Provide labor pool for movement of school district property and snow removal. Perform other related duties related to the primary scope of this position description.APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
