Description

Individuals in this position are responsible for supply chain management including vendor relationships, identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, placing, and processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items.


Responsibilities:


  • Enter purchase orders
  • Manage project purchase orders, ensuring the timely delivery of materials
  • Assist with material expediting, proactively identifying potential delays, and mitigating the risk of materials not being available at the project's outset.
  • Research and reconcile variances between purchase orders and receiving.
  • Communicate with multiple internal departments, such as accounting, shipping/receiving, and production.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with supplies to ensure costeffective procurement
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand business needs and requirements
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure quality, delivery, and service level agreements are met
  • Monitor inventory levels and work closely with production planning to ensure timely availability of materials
  • Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to plan and track material requirements
  • Conduct root cause analysis for any supply chain disruptions or quality issues
  • Keep detailed records and prepare and submit necessary reports.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the purchasing processes and implement best practices to streamline operations.
  • Follow documented procedures and onthejob training in order to accurately provide comprehensive quotes to the sales staff and customers.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with the manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers that provide parts and material.
  • Complete all documentation requirements to ensure accuracy, accountability, and mitigate liabilities.
  • Support the sales team with timely and accurate quotes.

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Post secondary degree in related area and/or 2 years purchasing/material planning experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP (e.g. MS Dynamics NAV, Odoo) preferred.
  • Highly proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.

Pay:
$50, $65,000.00 per year
