Description
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and 3 years of related experience.
To provide the technical skills and expertise required in developing and maintaining computer operating system software of the most complex nature.
This position is security sensitive and passing the following:
- 5 Panel drug test
- Polygraph
- DOJ (Dept. of Justice) Background check
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintain complex security system structure providing 24/7 support.
- Participates in studies of projected enhancements in hardware and software and in the development of recommendations to management based upon the results of such studies.
- Supervises software system specialists of lower grade with respect to determination of and viable solutions to work problems and work assignments.
- Create internal and external support documentation using Excel, word and other Microsoft programs.
- Communicate effectively with command structure and other technical teams.
Preferred Certifications:
- Lenel Certification
- Genetech Certification
- Watchguard Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Lenel access control enterprise system.
- Experience with Genetech video management systems.
- Experience with video analytics systems.
- Experience with AXIS, Sony, and Bosch camera systems.
- Experience in a distinct functional or crossfunctional security areas.
Equipment and Work Environment:
Standard office environment but can involve outside or remote work depending on task.
Requires a valid Texas driver's license due to occasional travel to UTMB campuses using department vehicle, and wear of department issued uniform.
Physical Requirements:
Moves equipment weighing up to 50lbs, ability to ascend and descend ladders, and stairs, walk long distances, stand for long periods of time, and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
Salary Range:
Minimum starting salary - $92,308 annually
Offer will commensurate based on education, certifications, and experience.
