Job Title:
Lead Technician
Summary:
Manage a team of employee to get a job done correctly and on time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must have qualifications of Technician (see Technician job description) and pass internal test
- Successfully lead an installation group or team using project management skills
- Perform advanced testing and troubleshooting for both copper and optical fiber installations
- Make recommendations based on applicable codes, standards, and best practices
- Implement the job plan and scope of work as well as perform retrofits and upgrades for existing infrastructure
- Plan your 4 week look ahead for material, labor, lifts and test and/or safety equipment needed
- Proof read all documents and scope and review plans within 1 week of job start
- Follow company protocol for all aspects of job including employee write up
- Learn and adhere to all required safety standards
- Knowledge of industry standard color codes and terminations
Job requirements
- Installer Certification from one or more manufacturers like Leviton, Berk-Tek, Ortronics, Panduit preferred
- Must have a valid, clean driver's license
- Must pass a drug screen, extensive background check and I9 screening
- Other duties may be assigned

Education/Experience:
Minimum (3) years' experience in Low Voltage Structured Cabling Systems.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Reasoning Ability:
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software.
Certificates and Licenses:
Low-voltage electrical license or Systems Installer certification from Telecommunication/Broadcast industry organizations such as, BICSI, Info COMM, NSCA, SCTE, etc. is preferred.

Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour
