REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise, or adapted physical education
AND fifteen (15) semester units of upper division or graduate study in the area of disability; OR

Bachelor's in physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise, or adapted physical education
AND Master's in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, or physical therapy
AND fifteen (15) semester units of upper division or graduate study in the area of disability; OR

Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and of individuals with disabilities.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated successful university, community college or high school teaching experience.

Demonstrated ability to develop a variety of effective teaching techniques and assessment methods.

Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team environment as an instructor working in a shared governance environment.

Ability to engage student interest to support a variety of learning styles.

SALARY

Part-time faculty are compensated on a semester basis according to the number of class hours assigned per semester and on cumulative semesters of instruction for the District.
