**PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT**
Work directly with warehouse management and product groups to analyze and address the management of inventory; specifically - damaged product, aged and obsolete inventory, inventory discrepancies, and unsellable/blocked stock inventory.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
Develop monthly shrink report and assist in inventory investigations.
Identify inventory trends by analyzing inventory statistics to determine which products are selling and which are not.
Build knowledge of MRP forecasting tool and a help product groups set correct forecasting limits.
Monthly reconciliation of inventory at our third-party distribution facilities.
Drafting inventory reports that document inventory turnover, discrepancies, and other statistical data.
Reporting inventory statistics to management and suggesting improvements to inventory control.
Work directly with vendors and product groups to address issues that require product swaps, return to vendor movements, or product disposal.
Creating and maintaining inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory.
Manage product logistics, inventories and distribution to intended facilities. Coordinates with department managers to maintain profitable inventory levels at warehouse locations.
Monitors product inventory, demand, usage, and transfers and makes recommendations for process improvement to support division initiatives and lower costs. Responsible for minimizing inventory according to seasonal demands.
Implements, and maintains automated records of orders and shipments for all products. Provides forecasting and trend analysis for future inventory needs.
Communicates with transportation vendors to obtain product information and makes recommendations considering the cost and schedule needs of the business.
Works with management teams across the business locations to evaluate product needs and inventory levels to ensure product is transferred appropriately and timely to meet customer demand.
**OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS**
Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.
Follows GROWMARKs Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
**REQUIREMENTS**
Requires a bachelors degree in supply chain management, business administration, marketing or a related field and related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of inventory management.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience with databases and spreadsheets.
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.
Ability to travel independently and overnight.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARKs policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
