Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess patient nutritional needs and develop individualized meal plans.- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to address dietary preferences, restrictions, and concerns.
- Proactively address patient feedback and implement strategies to enhance overall satisfaction with dietary services.
- Serve as a liaison between Englishspeaking and Spanishspeaking patients and staff, facilitating effective communication and understanding.
- Translate written materials, signage, and instructions as needed to ensure accessibility for Spanishspeaking individuals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including sanitation, food safety, and dietary guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess departmental compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of food quality, service delivery, and patient satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in food science, nutrition, dietetics, or a related field required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, is essential.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in dietary services or patient nutrition.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Proven leadership abilities, including experience in staff supervision and team management.
- Knowledge of nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and meal planning techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards related to dietary services in healthcare facilities.
