    As a Customer Advocate at DVS, you'll be assisting members with their healthcare needs. Your role involves helping individuals with various aspects such as PCP, medications, appointment transportation, and general benefit inquiries. Your empathy and expertise, combined with web-based systems, will greatly impact the quality of life for others. This full-time position requires flexibility to work one of our 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, within the 8am-8pm EST business hours.


    Position Summary:

    The ideal candidate will use web-based platforms to listen to customers and provide solutions to their needs. Successful employment is subject to passing background checks.


    Initial training will be thorough and will occur from 8 AM to 4:30 PM EST, Monday to Friday for the first 7 weeks. You'll be tasked with researching complex healthcare issues and navigating multiple databases efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach with callers. Key metrics include member satisfaction.


    Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly on the first call.
    • Educate customers on healthcare topics to help them select the best benefit plans.
    • Coordinate with care providers for appointment scheduling and specialist connections.
    • Guide customers through websites for self-sufficiency.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma
    • Minimum of one year experience in insurance operations
    • Proficient in computer usage
    • Ability to adhere to department work schedule

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Health Care/Insurance experience
    • Background in social work, behavioral health, or disease prevention
    • Customer Service Experience
