Responsibilities:
Drive systemic improvement in the Quality SystemsSupport & Develop Quality EngineersLead root cause analysis initiatives & drive meaningful changeDevelop and execute plans for quality control to ensure constant manufacturing continuity and product conformanceChallenge and drive improvement of quality control plansParticipate as Material Review Board member to review Non-Conforming Material for dispositionDefine and implement purge and sort activities including containment test procedures to control non-conforming material from the production processDevelop and execute statistical process controls utilizing appropriate quality tools plus statistical techniques

Define, measure, analyze, improve and control

APQP:
Advanced Product Quality PlanningReview drawings, routings, work orders, work instructions and various related production and development plans for quality requirementsProcess flow diagrams, Work instructions, control plans and PFMEAAttend design reviews and ensure a Built-In-Quality approach

Production Part Approval Process:
Assist qualification of new manufactured quality products
Customer Quality:
Apply 8D Methodology to investigate all Customer complaints and issuesChange management: Support execution of SBR, ECR/ECO, DCO, DEV, 8D, NCR and Inspections
Continuous Improvement:
Champion PFMEA review processSupport Manufacturing OperationsDrive root cause for quality related problems including DOE activitiesWork with SQEs on supplier component issuesWorkplace and material layout designs (Tools / Fixtures / Cells) to ensure built in qualitySupport New Product Development and Continuous Improvement EffortsSupport Safety and TrainingEstablish solutions to safety near misses, Path cards (Ergonomics)
Lead and participate in OSHA teamsPersonal DevelopmentLearn how our products work and how they are usedLearn new skills and be educated in new technologiesRequirements:
B.S. or B.S.E.T. in a relevant Engineering disciplineA minimum of 5 years of high-volume Manufacturing, preferably for electronics / battery applicationsPrefer Six Sigma certification at green belt or higherKnowledge and Skills:Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, MSA, Fault Tree Analysis, DVT (Design Verification Testing), Product Return Rate Analysis, FRACAS and Root Cause Failure Analysis is requiredAbility to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including global customers, design/production engineering, and manufacturing teamsExperience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologiesExperience supporting ISO, TS, CSA, and/or UL
