Preferred Qualifications:


  • 2 years office/administrative experience
  • Working knowledge of computers for word processing, scheduling, insurance claims processing, and records management. Eaglesoft experience preferred
  • Knowledge of dental terminology
  • Understand and comply with policies and procedures associated with a dental practice
  • Understand and comply with HIPPA

Responsibilities:


  • Answer and respond to telephone calls with professionalism
  • Confirm upcoming appointments by telephone
  • Schedule patients for efficient use of doctor and staff time
  • Check patient backup list to try to fill in cancellation and noshow appointment times
  • Gather and accurately record dental, medical, and insurance information from patients
  • Verify patient insurance coverage
  • Securely store and handle records in compliance with legal requirements, including HIPAA regulations
  • Accurately file patient information
  • Ensure confidentiality of all personal and employmentrelated information
  • Respond to Simplify request ( appt request)
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the leadership

Remote Requirements:


The Remote Support Agent is a fully remote role, meaning that all duties are to be completed outside of the client practices or company home office.

Traditionally the remote location would be the employee's home but may be completed elsewhere so long as the location does not compromise privacy and security requirements for the role.

These requirements include a secure internet connection, the ability to work privately with confidential patient information, and ensure that confidential patient information is kept safe and secure.


Other remote workspace requirements are as follows:

  • The workspace should be a private area free of interruption from outside sources
  • The workspace should be able to easily accommodate the Remote Support Agent, their work equipment (laptop, phone) as well as any additional materials needed for the role, such as notepad, writing utensils, etc.
  • The Remote Support Agent should be able to freely have phone conversations with patients in their workspace without compromising their information integrity

Other Requirements:

The duties of the Remote Support Agent will primarily be completed within their workspace. They should not attempt to complete non-work tasks during working hours, such as completing household chores while making calls.

The activity classification of this role is sedentary, meaning that the duties completed by the Remote Support Agent are done seated at their designated workspace.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit in front of a computer for long periods.
