    Description

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    The list of duties is not exhaustive. Certain duties may not be listed.
    • Must have basic knowledge of infection control and wound care principles.
    • Must demonstrate competence in providing sterile or aseptic wound care.
    • Must understand the special needs of geriatric clients and their skin.
    • Must be free of communicable diseases and maintain clean hands with appropriate nail length.
    • Provides wound care, assesses bandage integrity and ensures treatment supplies availability.
    • Administers gastrostomy tube feeding care and changes bandages when needed.
    • Performs colostomy and urostomy care as instructed by the physician.
    • Documents weekly.
    • Follows facility guidelines and physician's orders.
    • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members.
    • Collaborates with therapists and implements individual programs.
    • Maintains treatment equipment and supplies.
    • Adheres to patient care schedules and coordinates with other departments.
    • Works independently and reports issues promptly.
    • Maintains punctuality and attendance.
    • Presents a professional attitude and appearance.
    • Supports facility goals.
