    Position Summary

    The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for providing project management for the Georgia team of the


    EPA
    Region 4 Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center (Region 4


    TCTAC) housed at


    RTI
    International, with


    UGA
    as the sub-awardee.


    The PM will be responsible for outreach to community members and groups in need of technical assistance across the state; coordinating meetings between multiple parties across the state; facilitating training in various locations and remotely; organizing and participating in community activities across the state; compiling, responding and reporting on inquiries regarding technical support; and assisting in the preparation of educational, training and outreach materials.

    This position is currently funded for 3 years.

    Continuation of this grant-funded position is expressly contingent upon continuation of funding.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

    Project management and/or program coordination experience in a community environment.
    Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with university personnel, state and federal agencies, and private organizations.
    Lead and work as a team member with all project partners and staff.
    Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
    Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks.
    Strong customer service orientation and commitment.
    Exhibit a high level of initiative.
    Work independently and with multiple partners and stakeholders in a deadline-oriented environment.
    Flexible in working in diverse settings including virtual environments, in-person with local community groups, and on-campus.
    Experience assigning tasks and monitoring progress to meet project needs and deadlines.
    Evaluate and analyze existing approaches and procedures and to help devise novel approaches.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite and ability to utilize platforms for communication and reporting.
