ABOUT CRITICAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT
CIM Security provides security guard staffing, threat assessment, catastrophe management and personal defense training in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a security officer in the Hospitality/Entertainment Services industry, you would be responsible for access control, crowd control, de-escalation of incidents, alcohol ID verification, incident response, customer service, visitor management, compliance with regulations, and ongoing training to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, visitors, and patients.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Access control: Controlling access to the premises by verifying identification, checking credentials, and maintaining a log of visitors, guests, or patients entering or leaving the facility. Enforcing access control policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access.
- Deescalation of incidents: Effectively deescalating incidents involving guests, visitors, or patients who may be agitated, upset, or engaging in disruptive behavior. Utilizing conflict resolution techniques, active listening, and empathy to calm situations and diffuse potential conflicts.
- Crowd Control: Ensuring the amount of patrons in the venue does not exceed the amount set by the Fire Department, and keep all exit and emergency doors clear at all times.
- Incident response: Responding to incidents such as medical emergencies, disturbances, or security breaches in a prompt and effective manner. Coordinating with emergency services, following established protocols, and providing first aid or assistance as needed.
- Customer service: Providing exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, or patients by greeting and assisting them in a courteous and helpful manner. Responding to inquiries, providing information, and addressing concerns or issues professionally and promptly.
- Visitor management: Managing visitor access and registration, issuing visitor badges, and ensuring compliance with visitor policies and procedures. Monitoring and documenting visitor activity and addressing any breaches or discrepancies.
- Alcohol ID Verification: Check all ID's of guest to ensure they are of the legal drinking age. Have the knowledge to identify false forms of identification
- Incident reporting: Maintaining accurate and detailed written records of incidents, observations, and other relevant information. Writing incident reports, completing logs, and documenting incidents in a timely and thorough manner for investigative, legal, or operational purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 1+ years of experience as a Security Officer or Security Guard
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of access control and security equipment
- Familiarity with report writing
- Communication and observation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- First Aid & CPR/AED Certification
- Crowd Control Training
- De-Escalation Training
