- Manage a caseload of various immigration matters, including family-based petitions, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, asylum, deportation defense, and more.
- Conduct consultations with clients to assess their immigration needs and provide legal advice and strategies.
- Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Represent clients before government agencies, such as USCIS, EOIR, and DOS, as well as in immigration court proceedings.
- Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and policies and ensure compliance with current regulations.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and appeals.
- Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure timely and effective client service.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation using our case management system.
- Participate in firm initiatives, such as client seminars, community outreach programs, and continuing legal education.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to a State Bar and in good standing.
- 2+ years of experience practicing immigration law, with a focus on removal defense, family-based immigration, and/or employment-based immigration preferred.
- Strong understanding of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in additional languages (especially French) is a plus, given our diverse client base.
