    Description
    Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an individual for the Quality Control Manager position in our Western Kentucky operations.

    The potential candidates for this role must be a proven leader, have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

    A leader who knows to put safety first, and by putting safety first, knows quality, profitability, and business success will follow.

    Oversee the quality control functions at 4 quarries, and 4 asphalt plants, as well as assist with the construction operations.

    Responsible for designing and implementing quality control standards and overseeing the inspection of production output to assure compliance with customer specifications.

    Developing Quality Control Technicians and monitoring their work. Evaluating and recommending the resources necessary to meet our quality goals. A variety of other important tasks and duties as needed and assigned.


    Qualifications:
    Demonstrable knowledge of Asphalt and Aggregate testing and design procedures. Proficient in blending aggregates and asphalt to State, Local, and/or Federal specifications.

    Communication skills Asphalt and Aggregate production knowledge Collaboration with Sales and Production Staff Coordinate an investigation and resolution of a quality-related incident Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop Quality Control Technicians.

    5+ years' experience dealing with aggregates and asphalt required. Degree in a construction-related field of study preferred, but not required. 3+ years' experience managing Quality Control labs and overseeing multiple facilities. Certifications in Soils and Aggregate Testing and Hot Mix Asphalt preferred.
