Description
I. SUMMARYOperates material moving equipment such as lift trucks, hand trucks, and dollies with safety as a top priority.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Prioritizes safety in all aspects of the job.
- All essential duties and responsibilities of Material Handler I position.
- Responsible for comparing identifying information, counts, weights, and or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other company records.
- Assists warehouse supervisor with inventory control.
- Enter data in the computer, print packing slips, schedule pickups, and print BOLs.
- Schedule shipments and pickups.
- Ensures that packaging conforms to company specifications.
- Assist in the delivery process by verifying products from suppliers, customers, and other AEC sites, which includes signing for the items and ensuring all invoices and bill of lading match.
- Other duties as assigned.
III. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
A minimum of a High School degree with 2+ years manufacturing/material handling experience.
A positive, thorough communicator.
Some experience this quality systems preferred.
Experience with an ERP system preferred.
A valid Driver License
IV. OTHER REQUIREMENTS/EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB
A. LANGUAGE SKILLS— Ability to write out BOLs and other material control paperwork and reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Fluency in English, both written and oral is required.
B. REASONING ABILITY—Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to sit, handle, feel, talk, and hear. The Associate is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The Associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
D. WORK ENVIRONMENT— While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is routinely exposed to moving mechanical parts and energy sources including electricity, pneumatic, and hydraulic power/sources.
Pay:
$ $25.50 per hour
