    JOB TITLE: Account Payable 30 hrs. a week

    LOCATION: Downtown Milwaukee

    COMPENSATION: $25-$30 an hour

    OVERVIEW:

    Our client, a historical Milwaukee-area private club, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounting Clerk to join their finance team. As an accounting clerk, you will focus on accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities include data entry for accounts payable, managing member billing, drafting invoices, processing statements, and maintaining vendor and customer information. You'll utilize Stampli Payables Program for A/P processing and EZ Suites for data management. Additionally, you'll reconcile accounts, make adjustments as needed, and ensure compliance with GAAP. Other duties as assigned.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Work with accounts payable entry, accounts receivable billing, payroll support, and member services.

    · Process, monthly member statements.

    · Perform customer account reconciliations and ensure proper communications with members for all questions, adjustments, and account issues.

    · Assist with preparation of monthly customer statements and reports.

    · Process incoming payments by check, prepare and make electronic bank deposits.

    · Generate and review A/P and A/R monthly reports.

    · Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

    · Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.

    · Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.

    · Process credit card payments for members.

    · Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · 5+ years of general accounting experience

    · 5+ years of experience working with payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

    · Experience processing credit card payments.

    · Experience with EZ Suites or similar ERP software suite a plus.

    · Experience with Stampli or similar accounts payable software.

    · Associate's degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
