- Document relevant medical history from patients or their families.
- Perform procedures with proper documentation.
- Collaborate with supervisors and medical staff to address issues and provide guidance on laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Recognize EEG waveforms/patterns during testing and communicate findings to medical staff. Identify changes in patient conditions and correlate them with EEG results.
- Perform maintenance on neurodiagnostic equipment to ensure functionality and troubleshoot issues.
- Respond to medical emergencies, operate computer equipment to record nervous system responses, and more.
- Assist with supervisory tasks, schedule patients for procedures, perform EEG recordings, and review ambulatory EEG studies.
- American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists OR Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) OR Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T.)

Description
UPMC Procirca is searching for a Neurodiagnostic Technician III to join the team at Presbyterian Hospital.
You will be responsible for performing routine and complex procedures under general direction in order to collect clinical data for diagnosing nervous system disorders. This could involve Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Epilepsy Monitoring and Polysomnography (PSG), or Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS).
The role includes duties in various diagnostic and research areas, assisting with department operations, and mentoring new staff.
Qualified candidates are offered a sign-on bonus of $6,000.
This position entails rotating 24/7 coverage with variable shifts as necessary. Some on-call shifts will be mandatory at UPMC Pittsburgh hospitals.
