Role Overview

This role involves coordinating and overseeing the planning, maintenance, cleanliness, and modifications of the campus and its facilities through the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect facilities to assess maintenance, cleanliness, and space utilization
  • Coordinate all necessary maintenance and repairs, including supervising contractors
  • Manage custodians and landscapers, ensuring high performance standards
  • Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance measures
  • Manage Cap X Asset and Operational budgets effectively
  • Conduct competitive bidding processes using RFPs for required projects

Additional Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison with public utility, environmental, and energy agencies
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma
  • Preferably tertiary qualifications in Facility Management
  • At least 2 years of proven experience as a Facility Manager
  • Experience with bid processes using RFPs, budget preparation and monitoring, and contractor supervision
  • Experience in self-performing repair work and maintenance
  • Supervisory experience of at least 2 years
  • Relevant certifications for Arizona and Nevada employees
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and show initiative

Work Environment
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, walking, lifting objects up to 40 pounds, and other typical tasks
