    Responsibilities:

    Follows recipes and production sheets, as written , and informs Manager/Supervisor of any adjustments.

    Prepares pan garnishes for "front of the house" operations.

    Sets up steam tables on time and organizes them according to diagrams to avoid delays on tray line.

    Ensures that all hot food temperatures are at least 165 degrees for entrees, starches and vegetables. Monitors temperatures throughout the meal service.

    Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality.

    Informs supervisor when specific food/supplies are low and need to be reordered

    Maintains work area in a clean, safe and professional manner.

    Monitors temperatures of kitchen refrigerators.

    Ensures food & refrigerator temperatures are taken and recorded per policies and procedures.

    Requirements:

    One to two years experience as a Cook's helper, grill Cook or Line Cook, preferably in a Health Care operation

    Education:

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    Food Handler's Certificate preferred but not required.
