Summary
- Warehouse Associates helps ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Warehouse/Operations Manager. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions - Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Pull inventory for shipments
- Non-CDL delivery driver duties
- Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
- Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Working in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations
- Load finished product onto truck
- Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders
- Follow all applicable safety regulations and processes as associated with driving, vehicle check, material handling and customer site specifics
- Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
- Use technology to help manage the logistics process
- Other relative duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
- Current and valid US driver's license and 21+ years old to drive for the company
- Valid DOT medical card if will be driving vehicle over 10,000 lbs. (Preferred but Not Required)
- Forklift certification preferred
- Must pass preemployment background check and drug test
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware
- Experience driving trucks for delivery preferred
- Good communication skills
- Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
- Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. Ability to lift 525 pounds frequently and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
