Summary

  • Warehouse Associates helps ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Warehouse/Operations Manager. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
    Essential Functions
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Pull inventory for shipments
  • Non-CDL delivery driver duties
  • Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
  • Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Working in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations
  • Load finished product onto truck
  • Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders
  • Follow all applicable safety regulations and processes as associated with driving, vehicle check, material handling and customer site specifics
  • Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
  • Use technology to help manage the logistics process
  • Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Current and valid US driver's license and 21+ years old to drive for the company
  • Valid DOT medical card if will be driving vehicle over 10,000 lbs. (Preferred but Not Required)
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Must pass preemployment background check and drug test

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware
  • Experience driving trucks for delivery preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
  • Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. Ability to lift 525 pounds frequently and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
