JOB DESCRIPTION -

Job Summary
The Prescott community—faculty, staff, administration, parents, and partners—are dedicated to creating
rigorous, high-quality learning for children. At Prescott, we're committed to getting students to grade-level or
above on their way to a college-preparatory high school. We know that this goal starts in Pre-Kindergarten and
extends through 8th grade. The Prescott faculty, staff, and parent leaders strive to build excellent learning
experiences that ready our children for college preparatory high schools, college, and beyond. To this end, we
attend to children's academic, social, emotional, and physical needs.
The Fellow will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:
Typical Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support and facilitate highquality professional development for teachers and staff, so they continuously
- Develop / mentor teacher and parent leadership capacity on Wellness/ Whole Child Committee and
- Develop Peer Jury
- Learning Hub provider for CPDUs
- SEL assessment Coordinator and data analysis
- Fulfill other responsibilities as determined by the principal
FELLOW
In order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, the Job Title must possess the
following qualifications:
Type of Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or currently enrolled in a program at Northwestern University
Type of Experience Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Facilitate workshops
- Successful implementation of programs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to Plan and problemsolve closely with teacher, staff, family, and community partners to begin or
and other ways
- Communicate sensitively and completely with teachers, staff, and families regarding continuous improvements in student learning systems
- Strong communication skills (speaking including presentations listening, and writing)
Residency Requirement:
As a condition of employment with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), employees are required to live within the
geographic boundaries of the City of Chicago within six months of their CPS hire date and must maintain
residency throughout their employment with the district.
