General Summary

Consults, plans, coordinates, and collaborates in the design and completion of RN-led Evidence Based Practice (EBP) projects and research studies, performing scientific tasks and related activities.

Performs a variety of scientific services related to literature review, study design, data collection, summarization and analysis; presentation preparation and delivery; manuscript preparation and submission; and other related activities.

Collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams in conducting EBP and research projects.

Able to conceptualize and convey the importance/impact of data integrity in terms of patient management, project results, cost efficiency, quality of service and the goals of scientific research.

Provides education to RNs regarding evidence-based practice and/or research process. Guides RNs in the use of the Johns Hopkins EBP tools and WellSpan Health IRB process. Collaborates with WellSpan Research staff as appropriate.

Is an effective communicator, someone who is resourceful and eager to find solutions to problems, someone who can get along with all kinds of people in all kinds of situations, positively influence professional development in those they are mentoring.
