Intertek's Electrical team offers assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services for various electrical products such as appliances, consumer electronics, lighting, medical devices, and more.
Key Qualifications:
The Staff Engineer role involves providing technical expertise to local operations, managing capital projects, and overseeing training programs. This position plays a crucial role in reviewing and approving test procedures, methods, and interpretations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing technical assessments
- Training staff and developing programs
- Offering support on technical issues and test procedures
- Researching new standards and technologies
- Representing Intertek in technical committees and associations
- Supporting accreditation activities and client visits
- Managing capital projects and more
Requirements for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (master's preferred)
- 6-8 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in U.S., Canadian, and other international safety standards
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
- Willingness to travel, including internationally
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
