ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Present strategic recommendations to reduce costs.
- Analyze data to help identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Offer analytical support to individual departments and divisions when assigned.
- Prepare detailed reports on a regular and adhoc basis.
- Contribute to creating annual operational budgets, plans, and estimates of new product costs including economic analysis.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process to ensure that regular costs for all products are determined in accordance with budget constraints.
- Collaborate with management to ascertain forecasting cost reports are consistently applied and checked.
- Propose costcutting or profitgenerating alternatives.
- Calculate the costs of existing and new items.
- Assist management in making key costbenefit decisions.
- Determine standard costs and evaluate differences between standard and actual costs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or a related field with equivalent applicable work experience.
- Three years' experience with costestimating in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proven experience as a cost analyst, cost expert, or other comparable position.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Good working knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including logistics, manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes.
- Excellent computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), with an emphasis on spreadsheets and presentations.
- Familiarity with ERP Systems (Syspro highly preferred; SAP, Oracle, or equivalent acceptable).
- Analytical problem solving effective problemsolving using logic and reason, creativity and strategy.
- Strong Communication skills interpersonal, presentation, and written.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions, manage complexity and ambiguity, meet tight deadlines, balance multiple priorities, and handle conflict effectively.
- Demonstration of thoroughness and attention to detail.
