ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF LOS ANGELES


Assistance League of Los Angeles ("the League") has grown and changed over the last century, evolving from a small local community service group into a national movement for good.

Today, the League is an agent for change, one that improves the lives of 22,000 homeless, foster, and impoverished children in L.A.

County annually.

The League's critical needs services and education and arts enrichment programs respond to the present and future needs of the community.


Responsibilities:

1.

_Support Fundraising Initiatives:
_

  • Assist with implementing comprehensive fundraising plans to secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Development to research potential donors and corporate partners, prepare solicitation materials, and track fundraising progress.
2.

_Corporate Engagement:
_

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate partners, including coordinating meetings, presentations, and engagement opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of customized partnership proposals and sponsorship packages tailored to corporate donors' interests and objectives.
3.

_Donor Relations:
_

  • Support donor stewardship efforts by assisting in donor acknowledgment, recognition, and communication activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of donor information and gifts into donor database.
4.

_Event Coordination:
_

  • Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising events and donor cultivation activities, including logistics, communications, and participant engagement.
5.

_Administrative Support:
_

  • Provide administrative support to the Development team, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining records.
  • Assist in budget tracking, expense reporting, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Take notes at Corporate Engagement meetings and track all tasks through completion.
  • Track all corporate engagement projects and outcomes.
  • Ensure contact information for each corporate partner is up to date.
  • Ensure corporate relationships are documented in donor database
  • Provide support as a backup needed
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.   • Hours are 9:00 am 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (7.5 hours/day)
  • Highly organized, detailoriented, selfmotivated, and able to manage projects, competing priorities, and tight deadlines
  • 2+ years of experience in fundraising, corporate relations, or nonprofit development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management software (e.g., DonorPerfect, Raiser's Edge).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Passion for the League's mission and commitment to fostering positive relationships with donors and corporate partners.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Pay Range:


  • Starting pay is $25.64/hour ($50,000 on an annualized basis)
  • Benefits include health/dental/life/vision insurance, 401k with employer match, and paid time off (vacation/sick/holidays)
