Duties:


As a
Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will:


  • Manage CPD's grants program budget including special analyses, data reporting, and other aspects of budget formulation and execution for the Department, consisting of over 850 full-time employees located in Washington, DC and in field offices throughout the country, and with a multi-billion-dollar grants program budget.
  • Administer a complete program of budget formulation, justification, presentation, and execution for the grants program budget for CPD.
  • Establish guidelines for and directs the analysis of requests from operation officials in connection with annual preliminary or review estimates, budget justifications, supplements and deficiency estimate and justifications, and operating budget determination

Requirements:


Conditions of Employment:

The official duty station for this position will be in
Washington, District of Columbia. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.


Key Requirements:


  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.

Qualifications:

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.


Specialized Experience:

For the
GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the
GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.


Specialized Experience for this position includes:

-
Providing advice and analysis to support agency decision-making; AND
-
Developing and synthesizing budgetary needs of federal grant programs; AND
-
Providing leadership to a staff or team in the development of policies, processes, systems, and procedures for coordinating and managing processes.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or
volunteer service**. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
