Overview:


Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture on patients for blood collection.
• Label, process, and deliver specimens for testing.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow proper patient identification procedures.
• Ensure patient comfort during the blood drawing process.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control policies.
• Adheres to professional standards, institutional policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and HIPAA

Skills:

• Proficient in patient care techniques.
• Knowledge of specimen collection processing.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to maintain aseptic technique during procedures.
• Skill in phlebotomizing adult patients with comorbidities.
• Understanding of anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Experience working in clinical laboratory or hospital setting.

Pay:
$ $29.05 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
