Russell Tobin is currently hiring for a Real Estate Attorney for a full-service law firm in Lake Success, NY. This firm offers the legal expertise of its 120+ attorneys, who have accumulated experience and problem-solving skills over decades of practice. They are a vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm and looking to increase its talented ranks of attorneys by adding a Real Estate Attorney with 15+ years of experience in corporate, commercial and real estate law.

This candidate must be knowledgeable in commercial agreements including leases, financing transactions, operating agreements and other entity formation documentation, and purchases and sales of businesses. This person should also have experience in representing developers, cooperatives, condominiums, affordable housing and individuals in both complex and simple real estate transactions and apartment closings. In addition, this candidate should possess the ability to structure, negotiate and document all types of financial transactions, including secured and unsecured loans, equipment leases, commercial and consumer credit transactions and structuring workouts for both lenders and borrowers. A successful Real Estate Attorney should be organized, professional and well informed while ensuring that real estate transactions are legal, binding and in the best interest of the client that they represent. Top candidates will be accomplished networkers who have remarkable interpersonal, written, and public speaking skills.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in New York/ License in NJ and other states a plus.
• 15 years' experience with Real Estate Law, portable business a plus.
• Ability to build rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible, work independently with limited oversight and prioritize work tasks in an effective manner.
• Proven ability to creatively accomplish organization goals while assessing and managing legal risk.
• Collaborative with a can-do attitude balanced with the ability to gracefully communicate difficult messages.
• Comfortable working with all levels of business professionals, including senior management and all colleagues at other departments in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
