About the Role

Location:
Joint Relief Insitute - Oak Brook


Required Hours:
Monday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Tuesday & Wednesday 9:00am - 6:00pm, Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm

Potential for Remote work or partial OT at Orland Park office on Fridays

Pay:
$ $19.00 per hour (dependent on experience)**
Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with billing questions via phone or in
  • office.
  • Record patient communications in practice EMR and patient communication logs.
  • Review correspondence documents and follow proper correspondence protocol.
  • Follow up on patient account to ensure claims resolution.
  • Initiate, follow up, and review precertifications and authorizations.
  • Set up payment plans and adjust as appropriate on accounts for contractual writeoffs, etc.
  • Review and process applicable faxes and upload into the practice EMR.
  • Print records and patients' explanation of benefits.
  • Provide leadership with reports as needed regarding cost revenue cycle trends.
  • Process returned mail, such as, but not limited to, liens or bad addresses.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of the Claim Revenue Cycle.
  • Experience in medical billing, coding, or highvolume processing is preferred.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of individuals, patients, providers, clinical staff, business office personnel, and insurance companies.
  • Proven analytical skills, with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Knowledgeable in MS Suite programs including Excel, Word, Outlook and Analytics Reporting.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
