Description

The Program Manager (PM) plays a crucial role in overseeing the successful implementation of government contracts in Wiesbaden, Germany or Vicenza, Italy. This position demands prior military experience and a solid grasp of government policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Contract Performance: Directly supervise and manage contract-related tasks to ensure compliance with obligations and timelines.
Quality Control: Establish and uphold quality control measures to guarantee deliverables meet or surpass set standards.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to government policies, regulations, and procedures at all contract stages.
Team Leadership: Offer leadership and guidance to project team members to cultivate a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Client Relationship: Act as the key point of contact between the contractor and the government to facilitate effective communication and address concerns promptly.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and create strategies to mitigate their impact on contract performance and deliverables.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records/documentation related to contract performance, including reports and correspondence.
Personnel Management: Appoint an alternate PM for operational continuity and collaborate with the contracting officer on proposed key personnel changes.

Qualifications:

Prior Military Experience: Previous military background with a comprehensive understanding of military operations and procedures.
Education: Preferably a Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related fields. Alternatively, a minimum of ten years' experience managing large-scale government projects.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to tackle complex issues effectively.
Time Management: Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities.
